Regional Championships Team Show Jumping (Formerly Grass Roots)

80cm First Round

Eligibility Rules

  • Open to any age Member with any size horse or pony
  • Riders must not have previously represented their Branch or Centre at Novice level or above in show jumping or eventing but may have competed at Novice level Dressage
  • Riders are not eligible if they have BS (or SJ1) recorded results at 90cm or above
  • Riders must be fully paid up members of The Pony Club, but with no restriction on time of joining
  • The 14 month exclusion as part of the Transfer Rule does not apply to the Regional Championship Competition
  • Show Jumping,Saddlery & Dress Rules are as per the 2017 Pony Club Show Jumping Rule Book

Number to Qualify

The top ten teams from each Area will qualify for the Regional Championship. Each Team will have either 3 or 4 members. If a qualified team chooses not to enter the Regional Championship, the qualification will pass down the line to the next placed team

Class 1 Team Show Jumping                                                                                                                                                  Team rosettes will be awarded to 10th place        Individual rosettes to 6th place

The Competition                                                                                                                                                                      A two round competition with a jump off if required for those teams with zero faults. Lower equalities will be decided by the times in the second round

 TURNOUT COMPETITION;

Teams are asked to report to the turnout area for judging at least 30 minutes before their allotted first round jumping times. To ensure that the jumping is not held up, any team presenting late will have their tack checked but will not be judged for the competition.                                                                                       

Hot & Cold Refreshments will be available on the day                                                                                               Dogs on leads at all times and please clean up after them 

Health & Safety The organisers have taken every responsible precaution to ensure the Health & safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, members of the publlc and competitors alike must take all responsible precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must comply with the organisers and all Officials and stewards                                                                                                                                                                               Legal Liability Neither The Pony Club, the Trustees, the Equestrian Council nor any person acting on behalf of The Pony Club will be held responsible for any accident, damage, injury or loss at rallies or any other meetings to Members or their ponies

These classes are qualifiers for the Final of the Area 3 Junior Series in October 2017 

Competitions will be run by other Area 3 Clubs during the season

 

Class 1                       60 cm  -  10 years & under  - Single Phase

Class 2                       70 cm  -  12 years & under  - Single Phase

Class 3                       80 cm   -  12 years & under  - Single Phase

To be run under The Pony Club Novice Show Jumping Rules 2017                                                          Saddlery & Dress Rules are as per the 2017 Pony Club Show Jumping Rule Book

Number to Qualify The top 2 teams and 4 individuals in each class will qualify, qualification passes down the line if already qualified as a team or individual.                                                                      Any objections must be lodged with £20.00 within 15 minutes of the occurrence. This will only be returned if the objection is upheld. The Judges decision is final

This competition is for teams of 3 or 4. Individuals may enter but will be put into teams. Best three scores to count. Team members will also be judged as individuals                                                                                                              Team rosettes will be awarded to 6th place                Individual rosettes to 6th place
